Good morning, I just wanted to say I really appreciated the opportunity to go on a ride along last friday. It was a very educational experience, and the officer I rode with, officer James Erickson, was extremely friendly and willing to answer any question I had. Thanks again for the great work you all do and for the experience. James Mullenix
I just wanted to take a moment to ask that you please continue the Enhancing the Survival Mindset Classes I was fortunate to get in on the very first “test” class and I can’t tell you enough about how impressed I was with the teachers of the class. I talked it up to every woman I know or met and told them that it was worth the time to take it.
I have been looking forward to the second advanced class and it has been delayed a couple of times. I hope that you will continue this program and are able to get the necessary funding to do so. It is such a valuable tool for women in this day and age. Thank you.

Kudos to the new Chief, and the entire police department, for all the recent hard work against the gangs and drug dealers. This problem has been running rampant for some time and I loved the Chief’s statement that this will not be tolerated in our downtown or any neighborhood. I am sure there is a lot more work to be done but it is certainly a good start and please keep it up. Spokane is too nice to succumb to this wave of criminal activity. I am sure that the majority of police complaints and criticism come from the criminal element itself.

Thank you Spokane PD for doing everything possible to make this the “Best & Safest” city to live in. Thank you.

On 1/26/13, an explosive device was located in Latah county by a private citizen and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. As has been our practice for many years, we called the Spokane Police Department Bomb Squad to assist us with the disposal process. They arrived promptly and effectively resolved our situation.
This letter is to express our sincere appreciation of the Spokane Police Department’s willingness to assist us whenever we have requested it. I have been in this area since 1997 and the Spokane Bomb Squad has always been the “go to” resource when services of this nature are required.
Please accept out thanks, and convey to your Squad our deepest appreciation and respect.
-Wayne Rausch, Latah County Sheriff
