Anti-Crime Teams (PACT)

The Patrol Anti-Crime Team (PACT) was established in 2011 in order to address emerging crime trends and prolific offenders. The Team consists of two patrol teams of four officers each, drawn from existing patrol resources. Members of PACT do not generally respond to calls for service, but instead take a proactive approach to stopping crime. Utilizing criminal intelligence developed by the team, other patrol officers and crime analysis, PACT focuses on the most pressing crime trends and those repeat offenders who are frequently responsible for those crimes. PACT is a flexible team, designed to shift resources in response to the changing needs of the community. PACT has proven to be a successful formula to maximize diminishing patrol resources, and interdict criminal behavior as early in the crime trend as possible, thus preventing further victimization.
